Introducing the SAVIR Council of Past Presidents!

The SAVIR Executive Committee and Board of Directors is pleased to announce the establishment of a Council of Past Presidents to advise on issues of importance to SAVIR’s long-term goals and organization management. This council, made up of 14 past SAVIR presidents, will be invaluable to advancing SAVIR’s mission and providing wisdom to a new generation of scholars. This council will also nominate and select a winner of the new Lifetime Achievement Award which recognizes distinguished scientists who have notably advanced violence and injury research and prevention in the U.S and around the world. The Council will meet as needed or at the request of the SAVIR leadership; Dr. Carol Runyan is the inaugural chair of the Council.
